Professional Insights

A Day in the Life at Tecron

James starts his day by checking the schedule, planning, and prioritising tasks. His role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, from managing daily and monthly financial tasks to liaising with the Sales and Purchasing Managers.

He ensures the smooth operation of banking and all other financial aspects of the company. Regular meetings with one of the directors to discuss business and future plans are a staple in his routine. “I generally meet with one of the Directors at Tecron to discuss the business and company future plans,” says James.

What Makes the Role Exciting?

For James, the variety each day brings is what he loves most about his role. Despite his extensive experience, he finds himself continually learning and growing, which keeps his job both challenging and rewarding.

“Every day is varied,” he explains. “I’ve worked as a Financial Controller for over 25 years, and I’m still learning!”

Why Work at Tecron?

James values Tecron for its progressive nature and the dynamic interaction with colleagues. He appreciates the company’s commitment to maintaining a healthy work-life balance, which resonates deeply with his personal values.

He’s a dedicated supporter of West Ham and Galway GAA and is deeply involved with his local Claregalway GAA Club.
